Kristi Lorenc CNP, AFMCP
My name is Kristi Lorenc. I am a Family Nurse Practitioner and am Certified in Functional Medicine by the School of Applied Functional Medicine.
After having walked many years in the shoes of someone with a chronic diagnosis and dis-ease, I searched for a different path. A path that was narrow but had more than simply symptom management. I found that path in functional medicine. As I started peeling the onion in my healing journey, I discovered that feeling fantastic was not only obtainable but a reality. I knew that this was something I had an obligation to offer my own patients in the family practice setting that I serve.
I began my formal functional medicine training and implemented the principles in the office setting. I quickly saw excellent results and have countless stories of victory over illness, pain, and suffering. My passion grew as well as my knowledge and experience. Having lived with many of the symptoms my patients experience, I have true compassion for those that feel stuck or hopeless with their physical or mental states. I want to offer hope, healing, and vitality to anyone willing to walk that road less traveled. I work with both males and females from the age of newborn on up, in the state of Ohio and Michigan.

I have been working with Krist through Rapha Functional Wellness for several months. She has been instrumental in helping me become aware of the food and toxins we put in our bodies every day and the harm they can cause. I love the knowledge I receive from Kristi and the handouts she provides as educational tools on my journey to living a healthier lifestyle. There are many facets to this program and if one does not work then we try another until it does. Kristi is always available to answer any questions and does so in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Kristi and Rapha Functional Wellness to anyone wishing to make a healthy lifestyle change while utilizing a more natural approach.

Kristi was very diligent in getting to know me personally, as well as my health history, and was able to relate to me as a middle aged peri-menopausal woman, employee, wife, mother, etc. She was very thorough in our bi-weekly meetings about why my body reacts to certain foods and gave very good resources and explanation on how to get on a better health journey. I am very grateful for her services.

Reviews:
I started with Amy several years ago . I was having severe skin rashes which were miserable. I made an appointment to see Amy and she was able to help me heal from the inside out . She is the first person that I have seen that started from the beginning of my issues and from there was able to guide me in the healing process , through diet and supplements.

Working with Amy has been hugely helpful in identifying lifestyle and eating patterns that have been unhelpful to me. Pursuing the testing and getting a more complete picture of health has not just helped me form better habits, but also lose weight and improve other issues like fatigue and nausea.

Reluctant, nervous, desperate. All words to describe the beginning of my AIP journey. I’m not a stranger to healthy habits, in fact I’m quite passionate about health and wellness. Unfortunately I’ve been better acquainted with stress, 5-6 hours of sleep, under/over eating, chronic headaches and crazy hormones the last 10 years. Life screeched to a halt a few years ago when I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. My body had enough I suppose. Something needed to change. Now, I could have chose the path that would have me taking numerous medications to combat all my symptoms. I whole heartedly believe the human body is wonderfully and fearfully made with the ability to heal itself in some cases. I’ve chosen instead the long journey of healing my body from the inside out. I’ve been working with Amy for several years and her guidance has helped me realize the accumulation of negative physical and environmental factors will take time but with perseverance can be reversed. I hold onto that hope even now, 3 months into the process. Its been one of the toughest most rewarding things I’ve ever done for myself. I am not just doing this for me, but also for my family because I want to be around for as long as the good Lord wills. The program Amy has developed was everything I needed to stick with it because AIP takes commitment! Rapha Functional Wellness provided a community of support, one on one meetings with Amy, delicious recipes I will continue to make and more importantly relief!! My headaches have improved so much and I attribute that to the elimination of sugar and gluten and all the other junk in processed foods. Amy has also devised a personalized plan to heal my gut with REAL food and supplements for the specific vitamin and minerals deficiencies I’m struggling with. If you’re tired of feeling tired, if you need to make some drastic changes, do this for yourself. Its hard, but you have support and a health professional that will take the time to listen AND communicate back to you. That kind of care is hard to find these days! Amy, thank you for walking alongside me to find joy in life again.
